The service
Lifting what vacuuming can’t
A vacuum takes the surface off. What sits below — the traffic lane down the middle of the stairs, the dust that came out of a renovation, pet hair wound into the pile, years of feet — needs hot water extraction to shift.
We pre-treat, agitate, extract and then lift as much moisture back out as we can, so carpets are damp rather than soaked and usually walkable in a few hours.
On upholstery we check the fabric first. Some suites take a wet clean happily, others need a low-moisture approach — getting that wrong is how covers shrink and watermark, so we’d rather test than guess.

Scope of work
Exactly what gets done
No vague promises. This is the checklist our cleaners work through, so you know what you’re paying for before we arrive.
Carpets
- Pre-inspection of pile, backing and any problem areas
- Thorough dry vacuum before any water goes down
- Pre-treatment on traffic lanes and marks
- Hot water extraction across the whole area
- Edges and corners done by hand
- Moisture extracted so it dries in hours, not days
Upholstery
- Fabric checked and tested in a hidden spot first
- Cushions and covers vacuumed thoroughly
- Pre-treatment on arms, headrests and seat fronts
- Appropriate wet or low-moisture clean for the fabric
- Frames, feet and under-cushion areas wiped
- Cushions replaced and plumped
Common problems

Questions
Questions about this service
Anything else, just ring and ask.
How long do carpets take to dry?
Usually a few hours with windows open and heating on. We extract as much moisture as we can, so you should be walking on them the same day rather than living around them overnight.
Will every stain come out?
Honestly, no. Most will. Dye-based spills, bleach marks and anything that’s been down a long time and set may lighten rather than disappear. We’ll tell you what we think will shift before we start, not after.
Do you move the furniture?
We move what’s safe to move and clean underneath. Very heavy or fragile pieces we’ll clean around unless you want to move them with us.
Is it safe with pets and children?
Yes. Keep them off the carpet until it’s dry, mainly so it stays clean rather than for any other reason.
Can you clean a mattress?
We can — £30 for a single and £40 for a double. Strip the bed before we arrive and allow drying time before it’s made up again.
Do you do carpets as part of a bigger clean?
Often. It’s very common alongside an end of tenancy or after building work. Book them together and we’ll do it all in one visit.
